I have used WordPress through out my professional development career. When building websites, where content will be
managed without the support of a developer I find WordPress is normally a good fit. Like a lot of off the shelf
Content Management Systems (CMS) Wordpress has its disadvantages, these can be easily dealt with as long as you are
aware of them. I find Wordpress has a low barrier to entry for content creators as many are already very familiar
with it. With a large community of developers and resources, Wordpress can be quick to build basic content rich
websites. Like most things Wordpress is not a one fit solution for all situations and given it does present issues,
it is always worth evaluating if it is the best fit for the problem you are trying to solve.
I am familiar with both building Wordpress themes, managing Wordpress installs and adding bespoke functionality by
creating plugins. This very site is built on the Wordpress platform.
